In order to verify that a real human is filling out this form (as opposed to an automated spamming script), you must enter the security code you see below (six alphanumeric digits) into the box just to the right of the number. If the digits don't match exactly, this script will drop your e-mail address into a black hole. You've been warned...
If you simply want to add your e-mail address to the list of addresses my anti-spam filter will pass without hassle, use the form above. If you want to send a message via this page, enter it below.

I used to simply publish my e-mail address on my web page, believing that it was important that readers of my web site be able to contact me directly in order to comment on the content of my page. Unfortunately, a small minority of miscreants who believe that their right to blast their advertising across my screen is senior to my right to carry on a mature conversation with those who have something intelligent to say -- and to do so without the harassment of continuous unsolicited advertisement.
It turns out that spammers have figured out that they can simply harvest the addresses from the web pages of unsuspecting dweebs like myself. Well, after wearing out the "D" (delete) key on more than one keyboard, I decided it was time to take stronger measures. I added a simple script to my web page which would accept messages from my readers without revealing my real address. But it wasn't long before the bad guys started trying to use scripts like these to blast their messages to even more eyeballs.
Well, this script pretty much requires human intervention in order to work and while there will still be a few pinheads who enjoy breaking through the barricades just because they can, at least they can only send me one message at a time.
My basic mail filters use a whitelist/black list scheme. Mail from known bad guys is shit-canned. Mail from known correspondents is simply passed through without hassle. Everything else is treated as potential spam.
Unknown correspondents (including anyone writing to me by way of my web page) are brought to this script which verified the correspondent as a human being before adding the new address to my whitelist. This is a fairly new concept so please bear with me while I experiment around.
