Stuff for Quick Giveaway

The following items are available for no cost (other than the cost of coming to my place in Nakano-ku to pick them up) to anyone who can give them a good home.

  1. Two unused motherboards in their original boxes and with all the extra goodies that usually come with motherboards (both purchased in Japan so you may need to d/load the English documentation):
    • Gigabyte GA-81PE1000-Pro2
    • Asus P4P800-E
  2. One partially-completed "MythTV" machine (in quotes because I never really got around to doing anything other than installing a Gentoo O/S on the box). The system includes CoolerMaster VCR-like case, Gigabyte GA-8S661FXMP-RZ M/B, Intel Celeron CPU, 1GB RAM, 300GB hard disk, Plextor PX755A DVD/CD-RW, Video (not sure which, as the card isn't marked, but it has one DVI and one VGA connector). I did get Gentoo installed and running on the machine but didn't go much farther before running out of time and steam. No video capture card, unfortunately.
  3. Gigabyte G-Max mini desktop machine. It was working last I knew but I might pull the disk out before it goes just so I know I'm not also giving away any personal data. I should be able to fire it up before I pull the disk if you need to see it working. If memory serves me, this machine also has Gentoo installed (which I guess is moot if you don't get the disk ;-).
  4. BeSilent fanless computer. This is the square-ish box that PlatHome used to sell back when they had a stroefront in Akihabara. WinXP is installed -- and lots of kids games (used to be my son's machine when he was 3 yrs old).
  5. Sony Vaio PCG-9J2N laptop. Win2k installed (it's old but still works). Includes power adapter, original box, and (probably) documentation and original CDs. Hey... what do you expect for free?
  6. Sony Vaio PCG-612B laptop. WinME installed and running (this one is even older than the one above ;-). Includes power adapter, external CD-ROM, USB web camera. Lower 1/4" of screen may have problems.
  7. Aten MasterView 4:1 KVM switch with cables.
  8. Zaurus SL-C700 with adapter, manual, box. Hasn't been used for ages so the battery might be dead. For a small donation, I can throw in a wired 10Base-T CF card, an 802.11 wireless CF card, and a GPS CF card (I never really got the latter to work with the Zaurus).

If you have any questions on anything on the list, write me (joe at larabell dot org). Priority given to whomever takes the most stuff in one visit ;-).
